Giving One Day to Help One Another

The United Way of Williamson County Fall Day of Caring is coming closer. Have you given thought to how you might participate?

Here are all the details you need to know about the UWWC Day of Caring and how to help out!

 Friday, September 23, 2011

8:15 a.m. – Kickoff event at Dell Diamond

9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon – 13 projects at 10 agencies in 4 cities in one county

Day of Caring is your chance to make a lasting impact in our community. Be a part of this fun day of community service by volunteering to improve local schools and nonprofits in Williamson County.

When we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. Whether it’s sorting donations of clothes or food, painting, landscaping or helping beautify our community, there are volunteer options for many interest areas and a variety of ages!  It means giving time to help one another by providing helping hands to nonprofit agencies that need assistance.

How Can You Help? This partnership between United Way of Williamson County and

The Volunteer Center will bring together over 150 volunteers to help at 13 projects at sites in Georgetown, Leander, Taylor and Round Rock. Recruit a group of co-workers, friends or family members, or volunteer on your own.  Volunteers that join us at 8:15 a.m. at Dell Diamond for the Day of Caring Kickoff event will receive a Day of Caring t-shirt and small breakfast courtesy of CEVA Logistics and H-E-B.
