National Family Volunteer Day

National Family Volunteer Day, powered by Disney Friends for Change is less than a week away!

Please join us Saturday, November 17 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Allen R. Baca Center – Grand Room (301 West Bagdad, Building 2 – Round Rock, 78664) for a day of service with your family.

National Family Volunteer day is a day of service designed to demonstrate the power of families volunteering together. Celebrated annually the Saturday before Thanksgiving, the Day “kicks off” the holiday season with giving and service.

At our event we will be working on several projects including:

Gratitude Jars for Meals on Wheels
Brighten the day of a homebound senior citizen this holiday season by making a gratitude jar that will be given to them with their Thanksgiving meal through Meals on Wheels. This is a great opportunity to reflect on what you are thankful for and share that message to uplift and encourage others.

Appreciation Cookies for local nonprofits
We have many nonprofit agencies in our community doing so much good work for our friends and neighbors in need. You can join us in saying thank you by decorating cookies that will be taken to 10 nonprofits in Williamson County.

Cause Awareness Bracelets for you and a friend
We all experience challenges in our lives. It’s important we are educated, aware and sensitive to the needs of others. You will have the opportunity to make a symbolic bracelet representing various causes we care about. Make one for yourself and make another as a gift for a friend!

If you would like to participate please RSVP by calling 512-733-7625 or emailing volrock@volrock.org.
